[Santa Ana, California | July 2025] – The Pizza Press is proud to partner with Girls Inc. of Orange County for another successful year of Smart Ups, an entrepreneurial camp designed to empower young girls in grades 3rd through 6th. As part of its commitment to supporting local communities and future leaders, The Pizza Press provided meals for over 120 attendees during this year’s event.
“We are passionate about giving back to the communities we serve, and supporting Smart Ups is especially meaningful because it helps inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs,” said Dara Maleki, CEO & Founder of The Pizza Press. “These young girls are learning skills like teamwork, leadership, and creative problem-solving, same values that helped build The Pizza Press. We are honored to fuel their journey with a great meal while they create and pitch their amazing ideas.”
Smart Ups is a hands-on business camp where students learn how to develop their own business concepts, with a curriculum that covers profit and loss, marketing, negotiation, teamwork, and much more. The program concludes with the Shark Tank Showcase, where the girls pitch their business ideas and prototypes to a panel of ‘Sharks’ in a real-world presentation experience.
“Seeing these students confidently present their ideas reminds us of the importance of empowering young voices and providing them with the tools they need to succeed,” added Maleki. “We believe in supporting initiatives that help build future leaders, and Girls Inc. is doing exactly that.”
The Pizza Press is proud to continue its tradition of community partnership and support for programs like Smart Ups, helping create opportunities for youth to thrive and dream big.
